Camping at Morro Dunes

The boys playing in the tent.
Daddy making us breakfast
Leah in her princess chair
Sissy playing in the sand
Logan with all his shells. He was trying to get every shell he could find.
Zachary looking handsome. I accidentally cut off the top of his head. The sun made it hard to see the screen.
Digging for sand crabs
Mommy and Leah
Roasting marshmallows. I am the only one that likes them but the boys love to roast them
Daddy helping Leah roast her first marshmallow.

Last weekend we went to Morro Bay and camped at the Morro Dunes camping ground. It was the first time Leah had ever been camping and my first time tent camping with the boys. We had a lot fun at the beach playing in the sand and trying to catch sand crabs. Zachary actually was able to catch a few of them. Leah loved playing in the sand. Logan was big on collecting shells and rocks. It was a nice relaxing trip and it was fun to be together just the five of us. Most of our vacations are with our other family or visiting family which is always fun, but we really enjoyed it just being us. We have already booked our next stay there for 2011.

Was your campground near the beach then? I remember camping at Morro Bay with my family and it was one of my most favorite camping trips. We love camping and during the summer the beach is the place to do it so it's not too hot. We usually go to Big Sur. It would be fun to go someplace different.

The beach was right across the street from the campground. So we didn't go anywhere all weekend.

Happy birthday to Leah! Hope she has a fun birthday. I cannot believe our babies are 2 - but it is so fun watching Alison grow up. Camping looks like fun. We have been the beach a few times this summer and all Alison wants to do is dig in the sand. It is nice that that is so exciting! Your boys look great - so grown up.
