One of our family traditions is to set a trap to catch a leprechaun every year for St. Patrick's Day. Last year he escaped by cutting a hole in the box so Zachary didn't want to put it in a box but we convienced him that if we put a ladder going to a hole in the top of the box then he would drop down and fall into a medal bowl and it would be to slippery for him to get out. He was so tricky that he tied a rope (a piece of twine) to the ladder and jumped down took the money and then climbed back up with the rope. He always leaves chocolate coins. Zachary is catching on so we will probably have to let him in on it next year. Hopefully the other kids will want to do it for a few more years to come.
